The laser targets a single type of wavelength, whereas pulsed light utilises a broader spectrum, making it slightly less precise.

To date, no study has shown that there could be a link between laser hair removal and the onset of skin cancer. However, it is crucial that the laser light does not pass over melanoma-type lesions, as this could distort and mask them. Indeed, the earlier a melanoma is detected, the better the chances of eliminating it without complications.
