HOW SHOULD YOU CHOOSE A SCRUB?

For dry skin, use a gentle, light, and moisturising scrub to avoid irritating the skin. For combination or oily skin, you should choose purifying scrubs and peels.

WHAT IS AN EXFOLIATING TONER?

Exfoliating toners gently slough away dead skin cells with acids or plant extracts as opposed to scrubs which use physical exfoliation. They are a more gentle alternative to physical scrubs.

WHAT IS A PEEL?

A peel consists of applying a chemical substance to the skin to exfoliate the surface layers of the skin. It helps reduce the look of pores, eliminate brown spots, and attenuate scars.

CHEMICAL EXFOLIATION VS. PHYSICAL EXFOLIATION

Scrubs (physical exfoliants) have grains while chemical exfoliants like AHAs or BHAs do not. There is no need to rub or scrub with chemical exfoliants because they act directly on the skin. This type of exfoliation is gentler and more suitable for dry and sensitive skin typologies.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A SCRUB?

Exfoliation helps restore skin's radiance, regulate sebum production, visibly reduce pores, and prevent blemishes. It also allows skincare to penetrate more easily.
