Toning botanical mist

The synthesis of collagen naturally slows down over the years. The skin then loses in firmness and elasticity, which can cause discomfort during the day.

The botanical actives present in this mist help stimulate the production of collagen, for more toned and plumped skin. It contains toning rose geranium hydrolate, regenerating beech bud extract and Italian helichrysum essential oil, an active ingredient that stimulates collagen synthesis.

    This formula contains essential oils; it should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women.

    Rose geranium hydrolate:

    Geranium hydrolate is used in cosmetics for its toning and pore-tightening properties. It is also formulated with for its regenerating effect on the skin.

    Common beech bud extract:

    Beech bud extract boosts collagen production for firmer skin.

    Italian helichrysum essential oil:

    Thanks to its high concentration of neryl acetate, this essential oil stimulates the production of collagen and boosts blood circulation for plumper, firmer skin.

    Inulin:

    Inulin is a natural prebiotic fibre extracted from chicory root. In addition to its moisturising prowess, it helps rebalance the skin’s microbiome.

How to apply the toning botanical mist?

This face mist can be used:

  • Morning and evening on clean, dry skin, instead of your hydrolate or toner, to moisturise and prepare the skin.

  • At any time of the day to hydrate and tone the skin.

Hold the mist about eight inches from the face and spray evenly all over the face and neck, avoiding the eyes.

Tip: you can keep this mist in the refrigerator for an immediate cooling effect.

Is this mist suitable for your skin type?

This mist is suitable for all skin types. It is particularly suitable for skin lacking firmness and elasticity, as well as dry skin.

At what point in a skincare routine can these mists be used?

It is recommended to apply these mists to clean, dry skin, in place of hydrolat or toner, and before serum, either in the morning and/or evening. The mist can also be used throughout the day.

Is it possible to use the mist throughout the day, even over make-up?

The mist can indeed be applied over make-up without altering its appearance.

    Along with this toning mist I purchased 7 ingredient cleanser, hydrating serum and jojoba oil. My skin is mature, sun damaged, dry, but still prone to clogged pores. I find these products to be gentle and effective. My skin feels softer and more supple but not greasy. The oils simply absorb. The only product I didn’t feel so crazy about was the lip balm, which doesn’t work as well as my cheap old tube of Burts Bees. I will continue to use Typology as I appreciate their purity.
