A serum designed for scalps prone to persistent dandruff.

Dandruff is the result of an imbalance in the scalp caused by the proliferation of yeast from the Malassezia genus, which feeds on sebum.

This anti-dandruff serum with a light and non-greasy texture works against dandruff thanks to the combination of ciclopirox olamine and sarcosine.

The first directly targets yeast while soothing irritations, whereas the second helps to rebalance the scalp's microbiome by reducing excess sebum.

Ciclopirox olamine 0.5%:
Ciclopirox olamine is an antifungal agent known for its effectiveness against Malassezia yeasts, which are the main cause of dandruff. It works by blocking the use of iron, which is essential for the functioning of the yeasts.

Deprived of this metal, Malassezia can no longer develop normally, which reduces the formation of dandruff.

Ciclopirox olamine also has anti-inflammatory properties, which help reduce the redness and itching associated with dandruff.

Sarcosine:
Sarcosine is an amino acid derivative that affects sebum production.

It reduces the activity of 5α-reductase, the enzyme that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone, a hormone that stimulates the production of sebum.

By reducing excess sebum, sarcosine limits the growth of microorganisms that feed on it, such as Malassezia, which is involved in the appearance of dandruff.
